The largest boathouse on the French Mediterranean coast
With a surface area of 10,000 m², the Port Napoléon boathouse is the largest facility on the Mediterranean coast for storing and wintering boats on land and under cover.
Measuring 135 meters long by 80 meters wide, it can accommodate an average of 200 boats – a number that varies, of course, according to their size.
With its dry berths under hangar, Port Napoléon meets the needs of many sailors who come to Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône from the Côte Bleue, Saint-Tropez or Corsica, for example, to take advantage of the facilities on offer.
The largest boathouse on the French Mediterranean coast
The covered boathouse offered by Port Napoléon in Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône can accommodate all types of boats. The only criterion is that the motorboat or sailboat concerned must be able to pass through the shed’s entrance door.
The dimensions of this door are impressive: 9.60 metres wide by 9.40 metres high.
The hangar is easily accessible from the quayside. To accommodate monohull and multihull boats, Port Napoléon uses the marina’s own lifting and handling equipment:
- A 250-ton mobile crane,
- A 65-ton Travelift, for boats with a beam of up to 6.90 meters,
- A 65-ton trailer for catamarans with a hull length of up to 20 meters and a weight of up to 65 tons,
- A 50-tonne crane with a 38-metre jib,
- A 26-metre gondola,
- Several 30-, 45-, 65- and 80-ton trailers.
The reasons and advantages of storing your boat in a closed shed
Parking your boat in a covered boathouse, in the Mediterranean or elsewhere, offers many advantages:
Firstly, in an enclosed boathouse, the boater can keep his unit protected from the elements. Deposited on land, on bers and in a covered shed, his vessel will be protected from bad weather and various meteorological events. By avoiding exposure to wind, sun, frost, rain and humidity in general, the boater will avoid damage to boat components such as the deck, cabin or hull. You can be sure that your motorboat or sailboat will be stored in the best possible conditions.
Secondly, storing a boat on dry land in a closed shed allows the owner to consider carrying out work.
With a hangar like the one offered by Port Napoléon, access to the ship is easy, whatever the weather conditions or time of day.
An enclosed boathouse is the ideal place to carry out maintenance or repairs for a few days, a few weeks, or a complete wintering.
For the duration of the work, the Port Napoléon boathouse offers boaters access to electricity and water, as well as grey and black water discharge tanks. In the hangar, boaters’ work is regulated to ensure that no vessels are damaged by work being carried out nearby.
At Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, all servicing and maintenance activities are carried out with the strictest respect for the environment… and for other boats!
A safe environment in Port Napoléon
Like the other Port Adhoc Group facilities, the Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône marina is entirely secure. All areas of the marina and dry dock are monitored. The boathouse is also under video surveillance, thanks to numerous cameras.
Do you have an annual storage or mooring contract at Port Napoléon? If you wish, you can also park your car inside the covered hangar for the duration of your cruise during the summer (subject to space availability).
